Your Voice, Your Choice

Do you have an idea for an exciting local project but need a boost? Are you a local resident looking to have your say on how funding is spent on local activities? Are you a representative of a local community group? If the answer to any of these questions is “YES!” this is the event for you!

We are offering residents and representatives of community groups from Lubbesthorpe, Enderby, Narborough, Glen Parva, Blaby, Countesthorpe, Cosby, Whetstone and Kilby, the opportunity to propose and vote on exciting, innovative local projects worthy of a share of £20,000. More »

The Blaby Central Participatory Budgeting Workshop will be held on Monday 22nd June, and will begin at 5pm, at the Brockington Community College, Enderby. Each proposal should be focused on either Children and Young People, Economic Stability or Vulnerable People.

St. Johns Community Centre makeover complete

The St Johns Community Centre has recently been re-decorated and still has a number of vacancies for regular lettings. In addition it is the ideal location for holding parties etc. Please contact Graham on 2753711 for futher details.

Council precept for 2007-08

The Council has decided to retain the Precept for 2007-2008 at £96,000 which is the same figure as for last year.
Full details of the Council’s Income & Expenditure can be found by clicking the heading above. In addition to the normal expenditure on parks, cemeteries play areas, etc the Council has included the following one off items - £5,000 for consideration of any schemes brought forward under the Enderby Parish Plan, £3,000 Improvements to Civic Centre, £1,000 Application for Quality Status £5,000 Clarence Road Recreational Ground Improvements and £2,500 grant towards external lighting of the Enderby Parish Church.
